December 15:  Bill of Rights Day, Rabbi Yaakov Reef

Bill of Rights Day: 228 years ago, on December 15, 1791, the new United States of America ratified the Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution, confirming the fundamental rights of its citizens. On the same date in 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared this day as Bill of Rights Day in the United States. Let us celebrate our freedoms as we continue to fight for civil liberties and peace with justice.
